TERMS OF BUSINESS

These terms and conditions are set to ensure the best service and to protect both the stylist and yourself. By booking a service with Cara Cameron (the stylist), you (the client) agree that you, and all members within your booking, are covered by the following terms and conditions:

BOOKING

A €150 non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve a wedding date, until this is paid the date is not confirmed. This amount will be deducted from your final balance. Upon receipt of the holding deposit, a booking confirmation will be sent to the client. The cost outlined in your original quote applies throughout, with the exception for additional work. In this instance, the final amount will increase.

During peak season (April through September and December) minimum numbers/pricing applies which is 4 people. Outside of peak season, bride only and bride +1 or 2 bookings may be considered. If party numbers change at any time of the year and there are less than 4 people to be styled the minimum price must be adhered to. Travel and trial costs are additional to minimum numbers.

Pricing is available upon request for other events such as parties, corporate, photoshoots etc.

CHANGE OF LOCATION / ADDITIONAL TIME FEE

If there is a change of location (i.e. The stylist begins in one venue and then has to finish in another venue) there will be a change of location fee.

The time allocated for finishing touches, dressing, pre ceremony photographs, putting on the veil etc. is 1 hour [standard industry practice]. If more time is requested by the photographer or the bride, there may be a fee for this additional time that the stylist is present.

TRAVEL EXPENSES

Travel expenses are priced at a cost of 50c per km return from Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow, to the location that the hair styling is taking place. Locations within 30km are not charged. This cost covers both time spent on the journey to AND from location, and fuel costs. Road tolls and parking must also be added into total if required. Distance is calculated using Google Maps and the quickest journey time from point a to b. Total is rounded up or down to nearest five/ten euro. There is a surcharge of ten euro to South/West Wicklow. Travel expenses will be calculated and noted before booking is confirmed.

Parking charges will need to be notified in advance and covered by the client.

ACCOMMODATION

Bed & Breakfast expenses may be incurred for services provided where the stylist would have to leave their home address before 6:00am. This will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process. The stylist will always endeavour to find the most cost-effective option.

PAYMENT

The final balance is to be paid on your wedding day in cash, or if you prefer to pay by bank transfer at least 3 days before the wedding day and notification that this has happened.

BRIDAL TRIALS

Trials are at a cost of €85. Before the trial the stylist will provide a consultation over Whatsapp texts, where photos and ideas are exchanged and we will work towards this style during the trial. Trials take up to 2.5 hours.

Trials take place at the availability of the Stylist, and this can vary depending on the season. The Stylist will endeavor to provide mid-week evening and day time appointment options. Weekend trials are generally not an option due to weddings taking place.

Trials take place in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow. If a trial is requested in an alternative location, and only if this is possible, travel expenses and a call out fee will occur.

Trials are designed for brides only, and it is unlikely that the stylist can accommodate style trials for bridesmaids or mums.

It is the Stylists preference that brides come alone to trials.

Trials are to be paid in full on, or before, the date of the trial.

CANCELLATIONS 

Cancellations by the client

The Client reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time. Please note that your booking fee is non refundable/transferable at all times and is to cover administration time spent on your booking.

Cancellations within 10 weeks of the wedding date are subject to 50% payment of total costs. Cancellations within 6 weeks are subject to 75% payment of total costs. Cancellation within 4 weeks are subject to 100% payment of total costs.

Change of date

If The Client needs to change the booking due to a circumstance outside of their control or a genuine emergency (authentication verification may be required) or if they need to change date for personal reasons, the booking can be transferred to a new date, providing I am available on the new date. The booking fee will be retained to cover administration time and loss of date costs and a new booking fee charged. Costs may be subject to change for new date.

Cancellations are only deemed valid if received via email/follow up email to a phone call.

Cancellations by the stylist

In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend your booking due to illness, injury, personal emergency or a circumstance beyond my control, I will endeavour to source a replacement stylist. However, this cannot be guaranteed and if I am unable to find a replacement stylist, you will receive a full refund, less any trial costs already paid for. The Stylist reserves the right to refuse / cancel a booking if payment is not received, incorrect information is given by the client at the time of booking, contact cannot be made, or, if a booking fee has not been paid in order to reserve your date.

The Stylist reserves the right to cancel the booking, retaining the booking fee, if they find out that The Client has booked multiple stylists for their wedding date.

CHANGES TO SERVICES AND PRICES

Prices for products and services are subject to change without notice.  The Stylist reserves the right to modify or discontinue a service without notice.  The Stylist reserves the right to cancel special offers and rates at any time, with the exception of where an emailed agreement is already in place with the Client.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

It is the responsibility of the client to inform the Stylist(s) of any issues that may affect the use of electrical hair styling equipment or hair styling products for all parties within the booking. This includes chemical treatments to hair, poor hair condition, prior damage to hair, sensitivities, allergies and any medical conditions. The Stylist accepts no liability for any loss or damage that is incurred due to the client's failure to inform of any known conditions, and reserve the right to refuse service to the client or any members of the party who may be deemed at risk.

Small children or animals are not allowed in the close vicinity when the Stylist is working as this is a danger to them and a hazard to equipment. The Stylist cannot be responsible for any accidents that occur due to small children/animals. The responsibility lies with the client to ensure they are kept away.

The Stylist reserves the right to cancel the agreement if the behaviour of a client is deemed inappropriate and/or if the client reports a condition that the Stylist deems as a risk to the client’s or stylists health and well-being. In these cases any payments that have already been made by the client for the service are non-refundable.

EXCLUSIVITY

The Stylist’s exclusivity is not guaranteed on the day of your event as time constraints are taken into consideration for each individual booking. For bookings of 7 or more, there may be another stylist on hand or an assistant present.

PHOTOGRAPHY & PRIVACY

It is agreed that photos can be taken of you, your hair and the other people having their hair styled before/after the trial or wedding. These photos may be used on the stylists website, social media or other mediums purely for the purpose of marketing the business.

Information collected from you will be stored safely and is used to carry out your instructions or to contact you. There are no circumstances under which this information might be passed to a third party. All records are destroyed within a set time frame as set out by Data Protection law. 

DATA PROTECTION

By law it is required to keep records of your services, and this includes personal data. Your personal data is stored securely and is not visible to anyone other than the stylist at any time. These records are kept for six years, after which time, if you are no longer a client, your personal data will be destroyed. Records will be automatically deleted at the six year point after your last appointment.
